Good idea, but a miss.,
I am hearing impaired and I cannot ever hear the intercom ringing. The remote flash idea is great and, when it works, it is the perfect solution. Unfortunately, the unit is very sensitive to interference and flashes randomly every 5 minutes. I tried it at a different location – very remote and with no real source of interference within miles – but still got the flashing. In the drawer it goes for good.
